INDIA UPGRADE THEIR ASSAULT RIFLE
Indian Army signed a contract with Sig Saueer of the U.S for 72400 SIG716 assault rifles for front -line soldier deployed in operational areas.
THE DEFENCE MINISTRY ALSO ISSUED AN EXPRESSION PF INTEREST FOR A DEAL OF 111 NAVAL HELICOPTER
Entire load of 72400 rifle should be delivered with in one year
ASSAULT RIFLE :-assault rife is a selective fire rifle ,used intermediate cartilage. assault rife are automatic and semi automatic first used in 2nd world war
LOAD FOR DEFENCE WINGS:- out of 72400 rifles 66,400 are meant for the army 2,000 for navy and remaining 4000 for the AIR force .The broad parameter for the weapon are an effective range of 500 m and weight of less than 3 kg. the new rifle replace the Indian National small arms system rifles.THE DEFENCE MINISTRY ALSO ISSUED AN EXPRESSION PF INTEREST FOR A DEAL OF 111 NAVAL HELICOPTER
